Harry Styles is in his "short hair, don't care" era, and fans can't get it off their minds.
The British pop singer, who became known for his long brunette locks as a member of teen pop group One Direction, debuted a bold buzzcut look in a photo promoting his Pleasing Fragrance collection Wednesday.
In the photo, shared by the beauty brand’s official Instagram page, Styles is seen staring into the camera while sporting the shaved hairstyle along with a brown graphic sweater.
“Our Founder, Harry Styles, toasts the launch of Pleasing Fragrance with friends in London. November, 2023,” the post reads.
Speculation surrounding Styles’ hair transformation first started swirling when the “As It Was” singer was spotted at a U2 concert with actress Taylor Russell earlier this month.
Styles’ new look has been sending fans into a frenzy on social media, with some criticizing the singer’s change in appearance.
“harry styles got a buzzcut??? This is definitely not pleasing,” X user @libbyisstrange wrote, seemingly referencing Styles’ Pleasing brand.
“Harry Styles' buzzcut!!!! Life's in shambles. Need another break. I can't take this,” @Coldbrewsteep wrote on X.
“the only way i can forgive #HarryStyles for the buzzcut (is) if he goes back to his long hair harry era,” X user @ididntsayyee wrote.
Despite the unexpected hairdo, some fans remained in Styles’ corner and applauded the look.
“buzzcut harry styles still does it for me (not gonna lie),” @notdesrocs wrote on X.
“(You know) that a man (is) FINE WHEN HE LOOKS GOOD IN BUZZCUT,” X user @itsafsanay wrote. “Prime example are harry styles and zayn malik.”
“I might be the only person to feel this way but I am so happy for Harry Styles with his buzzcut,” @alexnfranklin24 wrote on X. “That man probably feels so free (right now). Good for him.”
